Call For Nominations: BOARD OF DIRECTORS 2026-2029 Due September 19, 2025

IPA News

Dear IPA Community!

It’s time for IPA to select new leaders! Nominations are currently being accepted for the IPA Board of Directors. The Board of Directors guides IPA, positioning it as a world leader in the field of psychogeriatrics. There are currently seats open for election on the Board of Directors. Those elected to these seats will serve a term from 2026-2029.

Those wishing to become candidates for the IPA Board of Directors must be IPA members in good standing and submit their candidate materials prior to 19 September 2025. Nominations may come from the voting membership at large or from the Board of Directors. To learn more about nomination and candidate materials please CLICK HERE

We strive to ensure broad regional and disciplinary representation. In this selection round, priority will be given to disciplines currently underrepresented on the Board, particularly from the Eastern Mediterranean and South-East Asia regions. However, engaged members from all countries/regions are encouraged to apply.

Since the IPA Board of Directors oversees all activities related to IPA, those interested are encouraged to review the Board of Directors responsibilities on the IPA Elections page. After candidate information has been received, credentials of prospective nominees will be reviewed and evaluated by the IPA Executive Committee in order to ensure a sufficient number of qualified candidates is available for elections.

A list of candidate materials is located on the IPA Elections page. All candidate materials, including two letters of recommendation, must be received no later than 19 September 2025. Materials should be submitted via email to jkowalski@ipa-online.org. If you have any questions please contact the IPA Secretariat.

We look forward to hearing from those interested in helping IPA fulfill its mission of better mental health for all older people!
