Information for Reviewers
Publons and International Psychogeriatrics
International Psychogeriatrics, through Cambridge University Press, is running a one-year pilot with Publons, a startup aiming to acknowledge the invaluable work of peer reviewers. Publons works with reviewers, editors, and journals to give credit for peer review without breaking reviewer anonymity. It allows reviewers to receive merit scores for their peer review activity, and allows them to record, verify, and showcase their peer review contributions in a format that can be easily reproducible for job and funding applications.
How does Publons work?
When you review for IPG, you will be given the option to get credit on Publons. Once your review is completed you will receive a 'thank you' email via the journal's ScholarOne peer review system, which includes a private link that allows you to add your review to your Publons profile, and create a profile if you don't yet have one.
Claiming the review will add it to your Publons profile, with a listing that retains reviewer anonymity e.g. "Reviewed for International Psychogeriatrics in June 2016".
Sensitive information will never be revealed by Publons.
