Asia Pacific Initiative

IPA expects the Asia Pacific Initiative to have a major impact on defining the key public health issues for the region and on the organization of effective clinical, research, and educational programs. The Asia Pacific Regional Initiative web section provides an excellent opportunity for colleagues to take the next step in the development of the Initiative by building an agenda to address issues and concerns in the region. We anticipate that this website will serve as a springboard to many regional activities and programs. 

The Asia Pacific Initiative has been focusing on building a network of interested psychogeriatric professionals, and identifying issues important to this region.

The "QoLDEM" program (Consensus Program on Improving the Quality of Life for Asian People with Dementia) was endorsed by IPA and is an activity of the Asia-Pacific Regional Initiative. The details are described in the following issues of the International Psychogeriatrics.
