IPA Affiliated Groups
The International Psychogeriatric Association (IPA) encourages affiliation for all related multinational, national, regional and local organizations that share a common mission. IPA values the increased impact that a coalition of related organizations can achieve, and invites all related organizations to affiliate to IPA. Together, we can achieve measurable improvements in the mental health and well being of our elderly around the world.
The principal criterion for affiliation is that these organizations be comprised of professionals concerned primarily with activities germane to, or related to, those of IPA -- that is, the advancement of clinical practice, research, and education to improve the mental health of the elderly throughout the world.
Organizations granted affiliate status will realize many benefits, including:
- a listing on IPA’s promotional material and in the IPA Membership Directory;
- permission to use the IPA logo and the statement "Affiliated to IPA" on their letterhead;
- one annual membership in IPA, with full benefits and voting privileges;
- permission to send one representative (non-voting) to open portions of IPA’s Board of Directors meetings;
- the opportunity to list their meetings on the IPA calendar;
- publicity in IPA publications; and more.
Organizations interested in knowing more about applying for affiliation to IPA should contact IPA’s Committee on Affiliation of Related Organizations at ipa@ipa-online.org.
