Executive Director to Retire

George T. GrossbergIt is with mixed feelings that I as President of IPA announce the intention of our founding Executive Director to resign her post as of our Stockholm Congress in September. As all of you know, Fern has been the life-blood of this organization and she will be sorely missed. In order to recruit a new Executive Director, IPA has hired an executive search firm in Chicago to identify promising candidates. Our timeline is to bring a new person on early this summer. In this way he/she can apprentice with Fern and take over the Executive Director post after our Stockholm Congress.

I encourage all of you to attend our Congress at which time we can appropriately thank Fern for her many years of dedicated service to IPA and also introduce her successor. It is also the goal of the IPA board to keep Fern involved with IPA in an emeritus/consulting capacity. I look forward to greeting all of you in Stockholm.

Sincerely,
George T. Grossberg, MD
