CLIMATE
Rotorua has mild temperatures year round and April is in the Southern Hemisphere's early autumn. The average daytime temperature range for April is between 15 and 26 degrees Celsius.

As Rotorua is about an hour's drive from the coast and located in an elevated volcanic caldera, conditions are not as humid as some parts of New Zealand, but you should be prepared for the possibility of rain showers. It is recommended that you bring an umbrella and a warm jacket.

CURRENCY/BANKING
There are many banks situated close to the conference venue which offer currency exchange facilities. Banking hours are commonly 0900-1630 hrs, Monday to Friday. Automatic teller machines (ATMs) are well spread throughout the Rotorua business district. International credit cards are accepted throughout the country and traveller’s cheques can be changed at banks, hotels, resorts and most city stores.
