Media Advisory - IPA Congress Presenter Dr. Paul R.
Solomon, featured on NBC Dateline, Aug. 8, 1999
VANCOUVER, B.C. (Aug. 10, 1999) - NBC Dateline last
Sunday featured a session with neuropsychologist and scientist Dr. Paul
Solomon of Williams College in Massachusetts. The item featured Dr. Solomon's
increasingly respected "7-minute screen" to detect and monitor the development
of Alzheimer's Disease.
This is to advise that Dr. Solomon will be among the many internationally
renowned physicians and scientists - covering the entire field of mental
health for an aging population, including the dementias - to attend next
week's event. He will be here for the entire Congress, making presentations on
several topics.
Dr. Solomon's principal interests are the "under-diagnosis" of Alzheimer's
(and thus his 7-minute screen) and "pharmacotherapy" in efforts to slow down
the progress of AD in individual patients. He is the author of four books and
a regular guest on national U.S. media. He is listed in the American Who's Who
and several prestigious listings of American scientists.
He will be available for interviews during his Vancouver visit.
